The majority of us are guilty for neglecting the dining room and enjoying our dinner in the living room in front of the television. Regardless of how often you make use of your dining roomit is important that it is cleaned regularly. Simply cleaning and maintaining your dining room chairs and dining table often helps to ensure its longevity so that you can enjoy your dining room furniture for years to come.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR DINING TABLEÂ
NATURAL WOOD
Natural wood dining tables may seem hassle-free and easy to clean but they still need some care and maintenance. The first thing that you can do daily or weekly to keep your dining table in good condition is to dust it. When dust builds up it can end up scratching the surface of the wood. We recommend using a soft micro-fibre cloth to gently wipe down and buff the wooden surface. Generic commercial cleaning sprays and liquids can often be quite damaging to natural woods, we suggest that you avoid using any silicone-based dusting sprays as they can strip the surface of your natural wood dining table and cause damage in the long run.
Â
We recommend that every few weeks you do a deeper clean, wipe down your entire wooden dining table with a soft micro-fibre cloth and a mild soap and water mixture. It is important that no water or residue is left on the table, we recommend using paper towels, kitchen tea towels or dish clothes to soak up any excess moisture.
Â
Wood can easily get scratched or dented, it is vital that you do not push or drag any plates, dishes or serving platters across the wooden surface. Scratched can be extremely stubborn and hard to remove once they have formed and this will tarnish the appearance of your dining table.

GLASS TOP
Â
If you have a glass dining room table it can be easily scratched, and unfortunately there is little that can be done to get them out. Glass unfortunately shows marks, dirt and dust very easily and so it is vital that you clean it very regularly with a clean micro-fibre cloth and a mixture of ammonia and water or plain natural glass cleaner.

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR DINING CHAIRSÂ
APPLY A FABRIC PROTECTANTÂ SPRAYÂ
We recommend having a fabric protectant applied when you first purchase your dining chairs, or if it was not done when they were purchased then when recently deep cleaned. Fabric protectants help to repel stains and spills and allow you a grace period to quickly clean it up before it causes permanent damage.
Â
HAVE YOUR DINING CHAIRS PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED
When it comes to family dining, accidents and spills are bound to happen. Your dining room chairs may need to be professionally dry cleaned after a few months, we recommend that you have a professional company deep clean your dining chairs at least twice a year. It is important to find a company that uses chemicals that are safe to use on your material type of your dining chairs, as well as safe for children and pets.
Â
FIX YOUR WOBBLY CHAIR LEGS
There is nothing worse than getting the faulty chair at dinner time that has an uneven wobbly leg. While keeping your dining chairs in good condition does require cleaning, it also requires proper maintenance. Ensure that you regularly check all of the legs of your dining room furniture to ensure there are no chips, sloping or defects – if there are any, repair them as soon as possible to ensure that the damage does not worsen.Â
