WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SERVER AND A SIDEBOARD?

SIDEBOARDS

Sideboardsare long, low lying storage pieces that generally have shorter, thicker legs or feet. Sideboardsare designed to come up to your hip or waist to allow you to easily serve food when hosting. Adding a sideboard to your dining room allows you to add a great accent furniture piece that adds large amounts of storage and serving space.

Servers are traditionally placed wherever the food will be served, but they are still ideal even if you have a smaller dining room area.  Servers are more than just a place to serve your guests from, they function as an accent piece to minimalistic piece that you can both serve food from and store some of your table linen and fancy cutlery in.
