Imperial Royal Walnut is a leather shaped by warmth, natural variation, and the quiet nuances of texture. Soft tonal shifts move gently across the surface as light changes throughout the day, revealing a subtle richness unique to each piece.

Inspired by the warmth of aged walnut timber and the enduring beauty and heritage of leatherwork, the finish was developed to balance softness, texture, and ease of everyday living
in equal measure. For years, Leather Gallery’s recliner collections have been celebrated for their richly expressive leathers, admired for the individuality and lived-in character they bring into a space.

Bringing that same sense of depth to the Geneva and Bentley required a slower, more considered process. The result of nearly two years of material exploration, sampling, and development in collaboration with a specialist international tannery, Imperial Royal Walnut leather was created to achieve the exact tone, texture, and finish envisioned for the collection.

Preserving the natural warmth and character of the leather, the finish was carefully developed to offer greater resilience for everyday living, making it less susceptible to scratching and marking over time.

For well over a decade, the Geneva has remained one of Leather Gallery’s most recognised and loved recliner couches, not defined by changing trends, but by the consistency of its comfort, craftsmanship, and design.

From the very beginning, the Geneva was chosen for its deeply supportive bucket seating, elevated backrest, and smooth reclining motion, details that offered a more immersive seating experience at the time, designed to support the body more naturally while surrounding you in generous comfort.

Over time, the Geneva has evolved from semi-aniline leather into richly expressive finishes, including aniline and oil pull-up leathers, chosen for their depth, softness, and natural character.
