General Care:
This shaggy-style rug is susceptible to shedding due to its construction nature. Follow these recommended cleaning methods to maintain its appearance and longevity.
Loosening Dirt:
- Take the rug outside and hang it over a railing or sawhorse.
- Gently beat the rug with the side of a broom or handle of a mop to loosen trapped dirt, dust, and debris.
- Leave the rug in a sunny location for a couple of hours to benefit from the sun's rays, which help kill bacteria and dust mites, that often thrive in soft items such as bedding and carpeting.
Vacuuming:
- Vacuum your shag rug as needed, with frequency depending on usage (weekly for average use, daily for high-traffic areas, or monthly for minimal use).
- Set the vacuum's cleaning head to high pile if adjustable, or consider investing in a vacuum with this option.
- Thoroughly suction out dirt, avoiding the use of the vacuum's beater bar or power head, as it may snag or tear strands.
- Flip the rug to expose its woven underside and vacuum this surface monthly or as needed, using the beater bar to remove additional dirt.
- When vacuuming, stand on one edge of the rug and push the vacuum head away to prevent smaller rugs from being pulled into the power head. If the suction is too strong, avoid using the power head.
By following these care instructions, you can keep your shaggy rug looking its best and minimise shedding over time.

Delivery timeframes depend on the items you purchase:
- 5-7 Working Days for non-furniture orders (e.g smalls, rugs, and décor)
- 7+ Working Days for furniture orders.
- 7+ Working Days for a combination of furniture and non-furniture orders
